Established in 2008, Mabel’s Bakery now has four locations across Toronto and is a unique local favourite in each neighbourhood. We’re known for our authentic, homestyle baked goods including cakes, pies, cookies, bars, artisan bread, plus made-from-scratch prepared food options and much more. Since 2018, we’ve been part of the Fresh City family! You can order our products online through Mama Earth.
Our Story
Mabel’s Bakery opened in Toronto’s Roncesvalles Village in 2008, when founders Lorraine Hawley and her husband Bob Warburton noticed the need for a shop that offered high-quality and great tasting food. Since opening, Mabel’s has been creating delicious menu items and unique weekly specials, while celebrating a passionate and talented staff, valued customers and vibrant local communities.
Joining The Fresh City Family
Mabel’s Bakery is part of the Fresh City family! Fresh City is a Toronto-based local business with Canada’s largest commercial urban city farm. Fresh City brings organic groceries and locally grown produce to households in the city through its award-winning home delivery service.
With a shared passion for creating and sourcing high-quality, locally made, and wholesome products to customers, we knew this would be a great fit.
We are so happy to be a part of the Fresh City family alongside our friends at The Healthy Butcher, the iconic local Toronto butcher shop with an emphasis on organic and sustainably sourced meat and seafood. You can now find a delicious variety of Mabel’s products including freshly baked breads, housemade meals, desserts and so much more in-store at The Healthy Butcher or or Mama Earth‘s online delivery service.
